Neuroimaging Framework (NIF) is an open source, software development toolkit written by neuroimaging researchers for neuroimaging researchers. NIF aims to provides a consistent API to a growing number of popular Neuroimaging software packages including: DCMTK, XNAT, AFNI, SPM, FSL, Freesurfer, etc. Through Neuroimaging Framework, one can generate simple to complex workflows without having to focus on the many nuances and idiosyncrasies that exist between or within software packages. NIF was designed such that a majority of the core classes are independently useful e.g. \Neuro\Data\Nifti, \Neuro\Data\Dicom while others were engineered to pull components together into a pipeline execution framework.
